About This Species
Watch for small, noisy flocks flying fast overhead or feeding in fruiting trees and forest edge in Jamaica, where this parakeet is endemic. Its sharp, chattering calls in flight are usually the easiest way to detect it before it settles to feed. Fruiting season in forest and cultivated land tends to draw the most reliable flock activity.
