About This Species
This plain grey-brown songbird of open woodland, savanna and farmland edges in southern South America is often located by its soft, musical song rather than striking plumage, and it forages on the ground and in low vegetation for seeds and insects. It is frequently seen in small loose groups, sometimes associating with other blackbirds. It is present year-round, with breeding season pairs and family groups most visible in spring and early summer.
