White-Spectacled Bulbul

A vocal, active songbird of gardens, scrubland and urban parks across the eastern Mediterranean, it is usually seen perched conspicuously on shrubs or wires while delivering its cheerful, bubbling song, and feeds on fruit, nectar and insects. It is present year-round in much of its range, so there is no strict best season, though breeding activity in spring makes it especially vocal and visible. Look for it around flowering or fruiting shrubs in urban and semi-urban areas.
