Common Myna

This brown-bodied starling relative, with a glossy black head and bare yellow eye patch, forages confidently on open ground in parks, lawns, and urban edges, often walking rather than hopping. It is loud and gregarious, gathering in large chattering roosts at dusk in towns and cities across its introduced range in South Asia, Australia, and parts of Africa. Early morning and late afternoon give the best views of active foraging and roost gatherings.
