Taiwan Yuhina

Endemic to Taiwan's mountain forests, this small, sociable babbler travels in noisy, active flocks through mid-elevation broadleaf and bamboo forest, often mixing with other small birds as it forages for insects and berries. Its constant chattering calls usually reveal a flock's presence well before individual birds come into view among dense foliage. Mid-elevation forest trails in the cooler months, when flocks range more widely in search of food, tend to offer the most reliable encounters.
