About This Species
A large, noisy corvid of Mexico and Central America, it travels in small, boisterous flocks through forest edge, scrub, and gardens, giving loud, raucous calls that usually announce its presence before it is seen. It forages both on the ground and in the canopy for fruit, insects, and small vertebrates. It can be found year-round, with forest-edge clearings and garden margins the most productive spots.
